Title: Problem with Apache 2.2.4 under Windows 2000 [permissions denied]... IP 0.0.0.0
Post by: admin on June 20, 2007, 03:38:39 PM
This is a big one if you are running Windows 2000 and Suite v1.95...
http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=41404

Adding directive 'Win32DisableAcceptEx' to httpd.conf is a workaround for this problem, but has the effect of growing the Apache memory footprint.

Before I got your message, I changed the file phpmyadmin.conf to 'allow from all' from 'allow from 127.0.0.1". I did the same with the file mod_perl.conf. It seems to have worked.
Is this OK or I still need to do what you mentioned in your reply?

If I still need to follow your advice and change the file www/Apache22/conf/httpd.conf  do I add the line 'Win32DisableAcceptEx' without any commas, ", <,  > or ', right at the end after the last line in the file with or without a paragraph?

I'm sorry for the basic question!

Thank you

By doing so, you are also allowing the outside [internet] to see the URL /phpmyadmin on your system. I would just change that back and use the mentioned directive Win32DisableAcceptEx.

Just find the last line, make a new line, and type in...
Win32DisableAcceptEx

No ', ", <>, or anything else. Remember to restart Apache after any config changes.

With the release of Suite v2.0 comes Apache 2.2.6. This problem should no longer exist. I'm dropping the sticky mode on this topic.
