Title: Can the WebApps be used for Virtual Hosts.
Post by: hdogg4u on September 10, 2007, 06:47:34 PM
Can the WebApps be used for each individual virtual host or does it have to been installed for each site individually.

In this case what would you suggest the best method for this.

Currently my localhost is the only way I can access the webapps

I would like to be able to use any one of my virtual hosts with its own webapp.

HP

In general, you would have to install each webapp separately, with its own database, under each individual virtualhost.

you can change them by going to

Code:
(Install Drive):/www/Apache22/conf/Suite-extra/webapps

And change eg my Example would be wordpress

Code:
<IfModule !mod_rewrite.c>
LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so
</IfModule>

AccessFileName .htaccess
<Files ~ "^\.htaccess$">
order allow,deny
deny from all
</Files>

Alias /wordpress "/www/webapps/wordpress"

<Directory "/www/webapps/wordpress">
Options FollowSymLinks
AllowOverride FileInfo

order allow,deny
allow from 127.0.0.1
# allow from all

AddType text/html .php
AddHandler application/x-httpd-php .php
</Directory>

to

Code:
<IfModule !mod_rewrite.c>
LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so
</IfModule>

AccessFileName .htaccess
<Files ~ "^\.htaccess$">
order allow,deny
deny from all
</Files>

Alias /wordpress "/www/webapps/wordpress"

<Directory "/www/webapps/wordpress">
Options FollowSymLinks
AllowOverride FileInfo

order allow,deny
allow from all

AddType text/html .php
AddHandler application/x-httpd-php .php
</Directory>

And for the Databases they must be installed onto each databases manually. They aren't Pre-configured for you.
