Can any one tell me what Tomcat5 and IIS W3 are for.

And what they do.

Tomcat is a web server that allows you to run java code, in contrast to PHP, Perl, or ASP code.

IIS is the Microsoft implementation of a web server, very similar in function to Apache.

I think Google would give you all the info you need if you search those terms.

So if none of them have any thing to do with Ajax. Then it has to be the aspdotnet mod. Just doesn't run Ajax in any thing.
Do you know of a Test that I can do in PHP and ASP.NET to see if Ajax is running or does it even work like that.
