Title: Apache 2.0.48 ex post proxy problem, more news...
Post by: dea on May 24, 2004, 09:47:53 AM
Hi at all !!!

Apache 2.0.48, vhosts name based, use a browser proxy : ERROR !!

I've indentified the problem.

If I use a proxy browser (generic public proxy) my webserver can't identify the directoryindex (index.html).

With browser proxy enable, if I force the home page file ALL OK !!

Example...

Without proxy client:  www.firstdomain.com     OK
With proxy  www.firstdomain.com    ERROR (Can't access to / )
With proxy www.firstdomain.com/Index.html  OK !!!!!!!!

I've tried to force DirectoryIndex in .htaccess .. but does'nt work...

Any idea ???

Very very thanks...

PS.. and if I force the homepage file ?? but what ?

Yes, only one error: "Can't access to /"

How about access_log, it might tell us exactly what requests from the proxy Apache is receiving.

Aside from that, the only thing I can think of, is something in httpd.conf that is blocking access.
