2  DeveloperSide.NET / Building a Web Server, for Linux / Phpbb... on: April 04, 2007, 09:56:11 AM
Hello, I updated then restarted my server and now phpbb only displays white pages.
Im guessing it has something to do with not stopping the services before the restart.
Is there an easy fix?

Thanks

Hey Admin

Getting the error: The PHP configuration on your server doesn't support the database type that you chose

Using Apache 2.2.3, php 5.2 and mysql 5.0.27.

extension=php_mysql.dll is uncommented and iv restarted apache a few times to see if that was the problem.
Searched your forum for similar cases and they seemed to get resolved at the uncomment part.
Been using your guide: http://www.devside.net/guides/windows/phpbb

Need help!
Thanks you heaps in advance!

Did you restart Apache after modifying httpd.conf?

Yes

Quote from: "admin"
Check Apache22\logs\error.log

The error is:
"[Thu Nov 30 09:30:23 2006] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] Directory index forbidden by Options directive: C:/www/phpBB2/"

Quote from: "admin"
Did you place phpBB  as C:\www\phpbb2 or C:\www\phpBB2?

C:\www\phpBB2
and in httpd it says:
<IfModule mod_alias.c>
     Alias /forums "C:/www/phpBB2"...
and
<Directory "C:/www/phpBB2">...

I pretty much copied and pasted that part

Does file C:\www\phpBB2\install\install.php exist?

Nope

Hello

i followed the setup on this
page:http://www.devside.net/guides/windows/phpbb

very closly but whenever i try to access:
http://localhost/forums

I get a forbidden error. I was able to access:
http://localhost/forums/install/install.php
and install the forum though.

I put exactly
</IfModule>
<IfModule mod_alias.c>
     Alias /forums "C:/www/phpBB2"
</IfModule>
<Directory "C:/www/phpBB2">
     Options None
     AllowOverride None
     order allow,deny
     allow from all
     AddType text/html .php
     AddHandler application/x-httpd-php .php
</Directory>

into my httpd and did uncomment the the
LoadModule alias_module modules/mod_alias.so

What exactly should i do? (im newbie!)

Thanks for your help soo much (in advance) heh iv spent 2 days now trying to configure this  :?
