Admin Thanks how ever I tried that all ready. I fount it in a search on the forums section. See this is how how reads (below)..

<VirtualHost *:80>
   DocumentRoot "C:/www/vhosts/localhost/_"
   ServerName localhost
   ServerAlias 127.0.0.1 65.23.16.211

You can even try it your self. Just type in 65.23.16.211 in your browsers url and see if it does the same thing it's doing on my end. Just says access denied.

The one in the localhost folder. I deleted it and now all it says is that it can't diplay the page. and thats what I thought and it should be ready to run right from the box.

and what additional software are you referring too.

Please. have any idea. and the logs don't tell me whats wrong or how to fix this. I thing I'm just missing a command some where in the .conf file. I don't know. and I'm not sure. This is why I can't under stand why they just don't have this all ready setup when you install it.

Tomcat is a web server that allows you to run java code, in contrast to PHP, Perl, or ASP code.

IIS is the Microsoft implementation of a web server, very similar in function to Apache.

I think Google would give you all the info you need if you search those terms.

So if none of them have any thing to do with Ajax. Then it has to be the aspdotnet mod. Just doesn't run Ajax in any thing.
Do you know of a Test that I can do in PHP and ASP.NET to see if Ajax is running or does it even work like that.

Ajax works with PHP, Perl, and everything else. You do not need to have ASP.NET to have ajax.

Yes. I know that. Its just that Ajax isn't working at all. Is there a Test I can do in PHP or ASP.NET to see if Ajax is working. Or some ideas would be great

Tomcat and AJAX have nothing do to with each other. Unless you are talking about something very specific to Tomcat.

Thanks I just out about it an 1/2 hour ago. I fount out that if ASP.NET 2.0 is installed then Ajax should work too. So I'm lost I have no idea on what to do.

If you want to do ASP.NET I would sugest you just use IIS. IIS comes with Vista and Server 2003/2008. You can also download IIS 6.0 for Windows XP.

Thats fine, its just I don't have any one one those programs. I run my system on Windows XP Home and that version doesn't have IIS

I was told that installing Tomcat would help with using Ajax in Apache 2.2.6. I been able to setup ASP.NET 2.0. Thats works. I just can't get Ajax to Run. PLEASE HELP

Does any one know where I can get Tomcat5 and IIS W3 for WD 2.0
