I got sick of fighting it and just deleted it all. I installed the HTTPd suite in the downloads area and everything works.

/ Upgraded system with XP64
on: September 12, 2005, 01:29:38 PM
Hey, I have upgraded my system to a 64bit based system with Windows XP 64. I have installed the latest non beta version of Apache and used PHP 4.4.0, MySQL 4.1.14 and phpMyAdmin 2.6.3-pl1.

Apache works find and so does PHP. Best as I can tell MySQL also runs but yet I get this error when I try to use phpMyAdmin

Quote
phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in config.inc.php and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server.

MySQL said: Documentation
#1251 - Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client

Any ideas on this? I followed step by step with the guides and everything.[/quote]

Hi,

I use DSL the and when two or more people veiw my website I get disconnected but it reconnects after two or three seconds.

I'm using the following
Windows 2000 Pro
Apache 2.0.25
MySQL 4
PHP 4.3.4 and PHP 5.0.0
Mod_Perl 1.99_13
Perl 5.8.4

My network is just 20 computers on a couple 16port switches that are connected to a TRENDnet router. The DSL gateway is a standard PPPoE modem that connects 3mb download / 512kb upload.

/ What modules do i need for .htaccess to work?
on: July 15, 2004, 01:47:02 PM
Hi, Its been a while since my last post (been busy).
I'm trying to make my members page on my website have a password.
I've tryed so many times to get my .htaccess and .htpasswd files to work.
I have no clue if I have the right modules loaded or have the proper code in my HTTPD.CONF.

Heres my HTTP.CONF file of my modules.

LoadModule access_module modules/mod_access.so
LoadModule dir_module modules/mod_dir.so
LoadModule headers_module modules/mod_headers.so
LoadModule info_module modules/mod_info.so
LoadModule log_config_module modules/mod_log_config.so
LoadModule mime_module modules/mod_mime.so
LoadModule setenvif_module modules/mod_setenvif.so
LoadModule status_module modules/mod_status.so
LoadModule deflate_module modules/mod_deflate.so
LoadModule php4_module /www/php/php4apache2.dll
LoadModule cgi_module modules/mod_cgi.so
LoadModule alias_module modules/mod_alias.so
LoadFile "C:/www/Perl/bin/perl58.dll"
LoadModule perl_module modules/mod_perl.so

I don't have anything set for directorys for the .htaccess
Heres my .htaccess file

Options NoExecCGI
AddType text/x-server-parsed-html .html
AddType text/x-server-parsed-html .htm
AddType text/x-server-parsed-html .php
AuthName "Login"
AuthType basic
AuthUserFile C:\www\htdocs\members\.htpasswd
require valid-user
default index

I have no clue if its correct. I've tryed looking for a help guide and all I can find is Linux help guides.

I used your guide to install MySQL and I messed up on the chroot command

bin/mysqld_safe ... --chroot=DIR ... &

Now MySQL doesn't want to start. How do I fix this?

When I try to compile OpenSSL I get this error.

'ml' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
NMAKE : fatal error U1077: 'ml' : return code '0x1'
Stop.

That comes up when I run

nmake -f ms\ntdll.mak

I'm currently running Visual C++ 6 from Visual Studio 6
10  DeveloperSide.NET / Anything else goes here / Install OpenGL for Slackware on: May 16, 2004, 02:24:18 PM
Hello, I'm having a bit of a problem. I can't seem to get OpenGL to work in Slackware 9.1. I am currently using a old voodoo 5 5500 for video. I know it's probly a better idea to buy a new video card but I only need to use the it to run Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory for a few minutes so Punkbuster and update itself then I can host a Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory server that is only viewed in the console.

Before when I thougt that Slackware already had OpenGL installed and when I ran Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory it came up with a XLib error about GLX.

Change the directory to C:\www\mysql\bin

The executive file you need to run is in that directory.
