Hi I need some help here.  I just freshly installed the developer package from Devside.com.  I can't access mysql, I'm trying to access via command prompt under root with no password.  I'm getting an ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost'.  I thought a new copy of mysql has a default login of root with no password.  Am i missing something here?  I also made sure that the service is on.

Thanks

You should check http://localhost/webdeveloper/ or the changelog.txt file.

MySQL root user now has password 'rootwdp' [web developer pass]

Its set that way now by default because users access phpmyadmin and see that warning message... Which does not mean much to myself, since its MySQL user root@localhost and Apache is configured to let access to url /phpmyadmin only from locahost, but most do not know.
