I like this product very much, but I am in no way familiar with apache or webapps.
I have searched this forum for my answer, and I apologize if it has already been posted.
I installed everything on my machine 10.100.0.27 and everything worked fine.
I then rebooted, turned off my Windows firewall, and the apache server started up just fine.
I installed Joomla from the same host, accessing it as
http://localhostAfter installing Joomla, I then tried to access it from a remote host.
I went to my web browser on the remote host, I typed
http://10.100.0.27, and I can see the root page of the apache server, no problem. So, I know that there is no network/firewall problem.
But when I type
http://10.100.0.27/joomla, I get an error page saying
Forbidden: You don't have permission to access /joomla on this server. Can someone tell me who is blocking my access and how I can solve it?
Is there a "general security" paradigm I should be following for not only Joomla, but for Drupal, MySQL, etc.?
Thanks!
Greg
