If you are installing under the Windows Vista OS you will need to do so under the administrator user name or under a user with administrative privileges [sometimes this option does not work].

If you still have problems, such as...

1. Not being able to bring up the Controller application.
2. Having all services listed as not installed.

You will need to run the WDController application by right clicking it and selecting 'Run as Administrator.'

If you have further problems with the Apache Service listed as "error[xxx]", you might need to uninstall the Suite, disable the UAC, reinstall...
Windows Vista users who are NOT installing as user 'administrator':

The User Account Control (UAC) in Vista causes problems with the installation. You must disable UAC, install the Suite, and then re-enable UAC for everything to work.

I believe UAC is preventing everyone but 'administrator' from installing Services. I've also had reports of other users with the administrator privileges having problems.

Here is one way to disable UAC...
