Can someone tell me the command under RH9 to extend the current OpenSSL certificate?

Thanks in advance.

I used that link to create my original cert a year ago.  It's now expired.

Do I just wipe out the current .crt and .key file and create a brand new one or is there a way to extend the current cert?

Thanks.
