I uploaded a Frontpage file to my server via ftp, can this change any settings in httpd.conf file? I have stopped the server and now can't start it. Getting syntax errors two different ones, one when I run the config test and a different one when I try to start the server. First one says file has to be document root, second one says serialalias only in <virtualHost>. Nothing was changed prior to or since doing this. If nothing else can I get back to original state, nope didn't copy. I am a newbie at this. Thanks any help will be appreciated.

No.  Unless you use .htaccess files and uploaded a new one as well.
