Author Topic: Mysql error 3 when starting it.  (Read 3865 times)

Hey guys I just installed everything and went to make sure my services were started and mysql wont start says that it's an incorrect path with the error message 3. Any idea what i should do i checked for the my.ini file and it's in windows but i am new and would like this up and running asap

Sounds like you might have already had some version of MySQL installed one your system.

Run 'services', find any 'MySQL' Services, double-click, look at the path of where it is originating. Should be '\www\mysql\bin'. If not, you will need to delete that Service, install our MySQL Service, and start it. This is also explained under the most common problems thread.
